Since 1979, the coaching philosophy of the Jacksonville Jaguars
Soccer Club has been to teach young men and women fundamentally
sound soccer, and to help them experience the joy of playing
“The Beautiful Game”. Our coaches must be dedicated to helping
each Jaguars player reach his or her highest potential, on and
off the pitch. The Jacksonville Jaguars Soccer Club searches
for and hires men and women who have demonstrated that special
ability to teach and nurture not only physical talent and
technical skill, but the understanding of the importance of
teamwork and putting the common goal above selfish interests.
That is why our training shirts display the term “TEAM OVER
ME”. It is also why our players enjoy spending time with their
teammates off the field, and why so many of them form close
friendships that endure long after they move on to the next
stages of their lives.
As a result of this coaching
philosophy, Jaguars’ teams have had outstanding success on the
field. Just as importantly, the Jacksonville Jaguars Soccer
Club has demonstrated a proven ability to develop players, and
assist them in moving to the highest levels of the sport. More
than 50 Jaguars players have received college scholarships in
the past six years. One of our alumni, Tony Taylor, is
currently playing for the US Under 20 National Team and scored a
goal in his first international game for the USA. Another
former player, Nurdin Hrustic, was the youngest player ever
drafted by a club in the first division of the German Bundesliga,
where he is currently on the roster of Bochum F.C.
We are proud of our coaches, and we are excited to share their
experience and backgrounds with you.
